The French Bakery-Pastry school was first founded in 1999 in Hue by the French association called Aide à l'Enfance du Vietnam (AEVN), which aims to help disadvantaged young people find their place and take part in the development of their country.///L’école de boulangerie-pâtisserie a été fondée en premier en 1999 à Hue par l'association française Aide à l'Enfance du Vietnam (AEVN), afin d’aider les jeunes défavorisés à trouver leur place et à prendre part au développement de leur pays.///Trường dạy nghề làm bánh Pháp được thành lập đầu tiên vào năm 1999 tại Huế bởi tổ chức Pháp Aide à l'Enfence du Vietnam (AEVN), với mục đích giúp đỡ trẻ thành niên có hoàn cảnh khó khăn tìm được công ăn việc làm ổn định, tham gia vào phát triển đất nước.

Recognizing the potential and thus the benefits that the project brings to apprentices, the European Institute of Cooperation and Development (IECD), which has been supporting the Hue school since 2015, decided in 2016 to extend the project to Ho Chi Minh City. The organization works in partnership with the Thu Duc College of Technology, providing underprivileged youth (18-23 years old) with an intensive training in baking and pastry making, as well as English and soft skill lessons.///Reconnaissant le potentiel et ainsi les avantages que le projet apporte aux apprentis, l‘IECD - l'Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement, qui soutient l’école de boulangerie-pâtisserie de Hue depuis 2015, a décidé en 2016 à étendre le projet à Hô-Chi-Minh-Ville. L’organisme œuvre en partenariat avec le Thu Duc College of technology (TDC), offrant gratuitement aux jeunes démunis, âgés de 18-23, une formation intensive en boulangerie et pâtisserie de qualité ainsi que un cours d'anglais et le savoir-être.///Nhận thấy tiềm năng cũng như những lợi ích mà dự án mang lại cho các học viên, Viện Hợp tác và Phát triển Châu Âu IECD (L’Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement) đã hỗ trợ trường dạy nghề bánh Pháp tại Huế từ năm 2015 và quyết định nhân rộng dự án tại TP. Hồ Chí Minh năm 2016. IECD hợp tác với Trường Đại học Công nghệ Thủ Đức, mang đến cho thanh niên nghèo khó độ tuổi từ 18-23 một chương trình đào tạo chuyên sâu kỹ năng làm bánh nướng và bánh ngọt cũng như tiếng Anh và kỹ năng sống.

By 2021, the organization aims to train 20 apprentices (among which at least 50% of women) every year, with a target of placing 95% of them in a job with a salary higher to the average wage observed in Vietnam within 2 months after training completion, and to achieve 90% of self-financing by the end of 2019 through the sale of products made by apprentices.///D'ici 2021, l'organisme vise à former 20 apprentis (parmi lesquels au moins 50% de femmes) tous les ans, à atteindre 95% d'apprentis diplômés qui trouveraient un travail avec un salaire supérieur au salaire moyen observé au Vietnam à moins de 2 mois après la fin de formation et à parvenir à une autonomie financière de 90% à la fin de 2019 grâce à la vente des produits fabriques par les apprentis.///Từ nay đến năm 2021, tổ chức đặt mục tiêu phấn đấu hàng năm đào tạo cho 20 thanh niên (trong đó có ít nhất 50% là nữ), 95% học viên tốt nghiệp tìm được việc làm có mức lương cao hơn so với bình quân theo quan sát tại Việt Nam trong vòng 2 tháng sau khi khoá học kết thúc và đạt 90% tự chủ về mặt tài chính vào cuối năm 2019 thông qua việc bán các sản phẩm của học viên.

IECD in brief: The European Institute for Cooperation and Development is a French organization of international solidarity created in 1988. The organization intervenes in 15 countries and deploys its expertise in education, vocational training and job integration, support to small entrepreneurs and health. Present in Vietnam since 2010, IECD has been developing and supporting three development projects which are Micro Small Entrepreneurs support program (MSE program), the French Bakery and Pastry Schools in Ho Chi Minh City and Hue, and Seeds of Hope program - Training Young people for careers in Electricity and Automotive repair and maintenance.///L'IECD en bref: L'Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement est un organisme français de solidarité internationale crée en 1988.
